What goes into making a game like this?


Software engineering is a very important part of any software design. This is especially true when developing video games. Since Beatdown is a genre mash-up, we had to be very clear in our documentation about how the rhythm part of the game interacts with the fighting part. For example, you can attack at any time during a match, but the built-in rhythm game needs to know *when* you attacked to determine if you obtain or maintain your combo.
